50 Shades of Lace: What Your Lingerie Says About Your Seduction Style

Some people have their favourite shades of lipstick, I have my favourite shades of lingerie. A different mood, a different colour; a different season, a totally new palate of shades.

With time, people tend to enjoy change- they want a fresh start, a new beginning in a way. Some people change their hair colour, go a little over board with their new acrylic nail length and design, change their entire wardrobe even. But that doesn’t always fix the rut we find ourselves stuck  in. Each woman who finds herself going through a:”need for more” or “need for something new”, phase must always find her spark. For me, its lingerie. I change my sets as often as a normal person goes through socks, or tooth paste. Im always looking for something new, even if its simply a different colour of a style I already have.

%22You can tell a lot about a person from her underwear%22When it comes to this notion of new and more, I’ve come to notice that colour can do a lot for a person in changing their entire perspective. The colours we use to describe emotions may be more useful than anyone ever imagined, or so says most of the research I’ve done on the topic. Colour can make or break a mood, or it can describe a mood you’re already in. It is a form of expression in more ways than one.

Colour has a power like no other, and though yes, when it comes to lingerie, unlike hair, you may be the only one around seeing what it looks like, just having it against your skin- knowing its there- can change your mood and perspective entirely.

Bellow are my “50 shades of lace” lingerie as an example to show you what the colour of your panties can say about you.

With the right shade of blue lingerie you will find yourself more peaceful, and tranquil than ever before. Blue has a tendency to cause the body to produce calming chemicals.

White: The colour white is known for its symbolism of peace, virginity, clarity and freshness. It is a simple colour that does not overpower the individual or unsettle them. When wearing white in any way you will feel fresh, clean, and elegant. It is the colour of angels after all so let yourself feel like the elegant beauty queen you are.

Violet: Violet as a lighter shade of purple representing sophistication and wealth. As the colour of the lilac flower with its light nature and beauty it will give you the feeling of strength, peace and wisdom. It is a calming, happy colour that will have you striding around beaming pure beauty and young elegance.

Green: Green is a great colour to decrease anxiety and help calm a person. In a light tone, it can centre an individual and allow them to feel more in-sync with the earth.

Free Spirited

Yellow: Whats more cheerful and loving than the sun? Yellow is an attention getter, it is optimistic, happy, and a quick and easy way to bring up your mood. While wearing a light beautiful yellow set, you are sure to catch anyones attention and leave them smiling for more.

Orange: Being a mix between passionate red and cheerful yellow, Orange is a color of stimulation and enthusiasm. It is said to increases oxygen supply to the brain, produces an energizing effect, and stimulates brain activity. Orange, though sometimes a ‘different’ colour when it comes to lingerie, it is surely one that nobody will ever forget.article-2191434-14A29DA4000005DC-454_634x1041

Pink: Pink in any shade really is fun and exciting. It is girly, promotes
balance of energies and peacefulness. Within its softer shades it can be seen as tranquil, while its more brighter highlighter-like shades can really make you feel as if you’re standing out being the life of the party.

Patterned Print: A fun pattern can do a lot for a person. Sometimes you don’t feel as if you relate to one certain colour but want a different type of statement altogether. There is no better way to bring out that bubbly personality than polkadots or cheetah prints. Sometimes patterns are all that you need to brighten up your day. Underneath your neutrally toned clothing, a bright set of patterns are a sure enough way to make you smile.

Closed Off

Dark Green: We all have those anxious days where we simply don’t feel like ourselves. Green is a great colour to help reduce your anxiety and bring out your assets. It is a restful and quiet colour that will sooth you when you need it most. It is said to invite harmonious feelings that can diffuse anxiety and open you up. Depending on your shade of green it can be a warm earthy tone settling you and making you much more comfortable in any situation. I prefer the darker yet warm shades of green (similar to looking at a forest) as they make me feel more down to earth when I feel most off.

Grey: As a colour grey in any shade can inspire
people to be passive, uninvolved and have a lack of energy. It is a dulling colour that can both represent anxiety and sadness. It, however, if warn properly can lift your spirits. I wear a lighter shade of grey when Im feeling more anxious because it is a colour that does not overpower but settles as it is simple and closer to white representing clarity and peace. When wearing your darker shades of grey, try to have them mixed with darker lace material giving you a seductive, more dominating empowerment inside.

Brown: Sometimes a person just feels like poop. They are uncomfortable, unapproachable, and simply closed off. People like to associate their emotions with colours and then act and dress accordingly. This is why, when wearing browns a person can give up and push others away, or allow the colour to empower them through its darker shades associated with seduction.

Red: Want to be bold, sexy, powerful and get your blood pumping? Well red is the colour for you! Red is the colour of love, sex, and seduction. It will get you noticed, and allow you to, yourself, feel like you can take on the world. Red lingerie is exciting and stimulating, being itself associated with passion. If you are in a slump and want to feel beautiful, bold and strong- red is the colour for you.

lingerie-undergarment-bra-sexy-sensual-seductive-high-waistedMaroonAs a gorgeous shade mixed between the passionate red and the powerful purple, maroon is the perfect colour to get your seductive confident prowess on the move! It is a warm tone that looks great on all skin tones. It is less bold than the original red, but just enough colour to make you feel sexier and stronger than ever. Maroon is my go to colour for anytime I want to feel like a goddess.

Black: Black has always been linked to the unknown. The darkness of the colour is seductive, bold, dominating, and will always be the go to colour when you want to feel bad and sexy. This shade will make you stand out and feel as though you are in charge and dominating the room. For those shy girls- black will give you the lift you may need in order to feel like you’re capable of taking all the control you need.

Purple: Purple in all shades is luxurious and powerful. However when you want to feel powerful and flirtatious you should always go for the darker deeper shades. Deep shades of any colour gives you the edge you need to feel like you can take control of anything. They are feminine and romantic, empowering you in all senses. A deep purple is sophisticated, seductive, and wealthy.

That is interesting. I normally choose dark colors like black and purple because I wear dark clothes and don’t want my bra showing. But I never thought it was a reflection of my personality. Very cool!
